The Hercules Beetle is a member of the Dynastinae subfamily of the scarab beetle family Scarabaeidae. The Hercules beetle is the largest rhinoceros beetle and is native to Central and South America. I have fond memories from my summers at the Honduran orphanage farm of laughing with the boys as they tried to make me squish them in my hand but these beauties were just too regal.
